The Latvian Chamber of Commerce in the Americas (LatCham) will be having its first meeting in New York on November 21st, 2009 at the Estonian House at 4pm in the afternoon. The organizer of the event is LatCham Board Member, LatCham co-founder, Brigita Rumpeters, Vice President of Global Wealth Management at Merrill Lynch. The Estonian House New York is at 243 East 34th Street New York, NY 10016. The featured Guest Speakers will include:

• Normans Penke- Ambassador of the Republic of Latvia to the United Nations Mission in New York
• Rudolfs Bremanis - Second Secretary Political/Economic/Consular
• Daris Delins- Honorary Consul-Consulate of Latvia New York
• Rudis Berzins- President of Berzins Insurance Agency

The meeting will be held at the New York Estonian Educational Society. This organization was founded on December 7,1929. Since then, the Society has served as the center and focal point of Estonian activity in New York. The Estonian American Chamber of Commerce and Industry is also an honorary member of the Latvian Chamber.
