Valdis Dombrovskis announces new coalition government

Prime Minister nominee, Valdis Dombrovskis, announced his new coalition government this morning in Rīga, Latvia. The new coalition has 64 seats/votes in the Latvian Saiema. It is made up of a broad coalition that includes the New Era Party, People’s Party, Civic Union Party, Fatherland and Freedom Party, and the Union of Greens and Farmers Party.

Foreign — Māris Riekstiņš (TP – People’s Party)
Defense — Imants Lieģis (PS – Civic Union)
Justice — Mareks Segliņš (TP)
Economics — Artis Kampars (JL)
Finance — Einars Repše (JL)
Transportation — Kaspars Gerhards (TB/LNNK – Fatherland and Freedom)
Interior — Linda Mūrniece (JL)
Education and Science — Tatjana Koķe (ZZS – Union of Greens and Farmers)

Agriculture — Jānis Dūklavs (ZZS)
Welfare — Uldis Augulis (ZZS)
