The Director of LatCham's Board, Gustavs Plato, announced that Ambassador Ojārs Kalniņš, Latvia's former Ambassador to the United States has been presented an honorary membership to the Latvian Chamber of Commerce.

"We are thrilled to have a person such as Ojārs join as an honorary member. I have had the privilege to work with Ojārs for over 20 years and most recently while he was posted in the United States. He also happened to be my closest Latvian neighbor. Ojārs has dedicated himself to raising the visibility of Latvia and his experience and insights will be of great value to the Chamber. The entire board is thrilled to have Ojārs be able to participate with us in building out the Latvian Chamber in the Americas."
