American Chamber of Commerce in Latvia
The American Chamber of Commerce in Latvia was established in March, 1993 by 27 American investors. The Chamber is a 100% private entity. It receives no funding from the US government. It works closely with the US Embassy on many issues. The American Chamber of Commerce in Latvia is fully funded by membership dues. It represents 150 companies and individuals who have invested about $500 million and have created over 4,100 local jobs.
American Car Club of Latvia (AMCAR)
The activities and interests in searching for and restoring American cars of the 60s and 70s began in the mid 1990s. A group of like minded auto enthusiasts formed the nucleus of the present club. In October 2002 the first meeting, of the American car owners, took place in Vecaki. The car owners continued to meet and the club was officially registered as a public organization on February 4, 2004. The club meets monthly, on the third Wednesday, in Riga Motor museum cafe. Everybody is welcomed to join. The manufacture year of you car is of no importance the oldest car of club is built in the 20-ties of XX.
