Business Community Relations

The Chamber provides a forum for leading US and foreign government officials, business associations, and academia to meet with LatCham members. Our members regularly have the opportunity to meet and speak with business community leaders at the local, county, state, and federal level. Moreover, LatCham’s Board of Directors maintains an ongoing relationship with the Latvian and US local, state and federal government officials in order to ensure we are kept abreast of one anothers activities and to ensure the greatest level of cooperation and coordination.

Alliances

The Chamber allies itself with other business associations in United States, Canada, Brazil, Latvia, Estonia, and Lithuania and other Chambers of Commerce operating in US.

Membership

Membership is at the core of LatCham. Establishing criteria for the optimum mix of Latvian, Americas based firms, and other baltic partners is critical to enabling a viable and growing business community. We are continuously upgrading our services, capabilities, and scopre to ensure that our members get more value for their dues.

Social Responsibility

Social responsibility means that we will work to promote socially responsible business ideas, initiatives, and organizations with our membership as well as those people and organizations we come into contact with. We believe that profit and social responsibility are not at odds with one another, but rather closely coupled. At LatCham, we will work to promote ethics in business with all of our stakeholders including individuals, government, academia, and business. We will also support initiatives that promote transparency. Here again we believe that transparency, although it may initially add cost in an operational environment, in the long run creates greater wealth for society and those entities making the investments in transparency. We believe that social responsibility is the fundamental building block for LatCham and will promote a better model for our society, and one in which all of us desire to live.
