OUR COMMITTEES

Business Programs
The Business Programs Committee leads LatChams participation in international business programs. Efforts for 2009 are already underway. LatCham is leading the efforts to put together the
United States Baltic Foundations (USBFs) business program for 2009. The USBF business program will be held at the prestigious Mayflower Hotel in Washington DC from May 14-17, 2009. The 2009 program will focus on Transportation & Logistics, Information Technology & High Tech., and the integration of financial services in support of these two sectors. Other programs are being planned with other US Chambers, other Baltic Chambers, and industry associations.
Membership & Networking
The Membership Committee identifies new members and helps answer questions for individuals and firms interested in the Latvian Chamber of Commerce in the Americas. The committee helps prospective and new members feel welcome and strives to create a soft landing into the chamber and to help new members recognize the benefits they and their business will experience. Committee members answer questions about chamber vision, mission, operations, cost and benefits. Committee members also actively participate in our workshops and after hours events. They also help new committee members link to other professionals and LatCham board members.
Young Professionals
LatChams Young Professionals Committee (LYPC) is dedicated to young and innovative professionals (up to age of 32)who are interested in networking in the Latvian business community. A key component of the LYPG program is to identify mentors for LYPG members. The group helps develop business networks for young professionals, helps in their career path development, develops their leadership and management skills, idenitifies opportunities for education and training, and helps then develop a foundation in good governance and ethics.
