Karlis Antons serves as Vice President, Talent Acquisition Asia Pacific in the firm’s Asia Pacific headquarters office in Hong Kong.

Mr. Antons is responsible for building the organization throughout Asia, India, and Australia through Talent Acquisition and by opening new offices in strategic locations. He plays an instrumental role in maintaining DHR International as the premier executive retained search firm in the region. With a diverse industry and functional background in senior level retained search projects, he applies proven techniques to Internal Recruiting for DHR International - the largest privately held executive retained recruiting firm in the world.

Preceding his current role, Mr. Antons was based in the Denver Colorado office executing senior level projects on a global scale.

Prior to joining DHR International, Mr. Antons was an Associate & Project Leader with Cook Associates, Inc. He was responsible for managing all research functions in the Boulder, Colorado office. These responsibilities include the development of search strategies, establishing timelines and key milestones, industry specific research, preliminary recruiting, competitive intelligence, market research, and the allocation of research projects for the Retail and Manufacturing & Industrial Technology practices as well as supporting the VC/Technology Division in Boston.

Mr. Antons earned his B.S. in Environmental Science and Management from the University of Rhode Island, while playing four years of Division I Tennis for the University’s team. He studied abroad at the Queensland University of Technology in Brisbane, Australia. As part of his heritage, Mr. Antons is fluent in Latvian and well-versed in the culture’s traditions. He previously served as the Chairman & President of the American Latvian Youth Association and dedicates much of his spare time to the preservation and cultivation of his heritage abroad. After University, he was involved in a start up renewable energy company – wearing many hats in the organization. He spent his early career in consumer services as a teaching tennis professional.
